Pro4orce Connect ™ development began after years of surfing the web, trying to find a tool that helped with the communication issues between our office and our field resources, mainly, scheduling and dispatch. We found that there are many scheduling and dispatch tools available on the market but we never found the one that gave our business what we needed.
What we needed:
- A simple drag and drop resource allocation tool that automatically removed resources from our available resources list once they were allocated to a job location. This feature would allow our scheduling team to know visually that all of our field resources had been allocated to a job location, (without having to run a report) and then we needed to communicate the Job location and purchase order number to the resources in which they were allocated to (without having to pick up the phone and call everyone).
- A way to automatically create the next available purchase order number, without having to use a spreadsheet.
- To replace job folders that were filled with stacks of papers. We were tired of playing the game of “who’s got the X job folder”. We needed to see materials required, materials ordered, equipment needed and easily track the job details, as well as a history of all resources allocated to the job.
- A Status dashboard, a way to visually see the status of every job.
- We needed an integrated notification system, notifying users, resources and customers when a status of a job was changed and the reason why the status changed.
- A Rental Equipment dashboard, a way to visually see what rental equipment on a job. A way to never forget to call off rental equipment when it was no longer needed.
- A way to know what company owned equipment was assigned to our resources to ensure they are returned if they were no longer employed.
